Chan, Konga give Ramu NiCo flying visit

TWO provincial governors visited the head office of Ramu NiCo in Madang briefly when attending the National Governors’ Conference there.
Ramu NiCo president Gao Yongxue welcomed governors Sir Julius Chan, of New Ireland, and Nakikus Konga, of East New Britain, on Monday.
Gao said that during the early stages of the Ramu project construction, Ramu NiCo had received good support from Sir Julius.
“We are honoured to have you visit us,” he said.
“We are delighted to build further friendship with you.”
Community affairs department executive deputy general manager Yuan Zhi presented an overview of the project to the delegation.
The overview looked at the operation of the company, shareholder composition, community assistance by Ramu NiCo, socio-economic obligations, safety management compliance and challenges.
