Change health authority’s boss

Letters

THE second wave of the Covid-19 surge in Eastern Highlands will bring the health services in the province to its knees because of two obvious reasons.
Firstly, health workers in the province are not in a better state of mind to effectively perform their duties diligently as expected and soon the province will lose many good doctors and nurses.
Some have already left.
This is because their call for a change in the health authority’s chief executive officer has fallen on deaf ears.
Secondly, the health workers are not protected with personal protective equipment and by the way things are going, all they are at high risk of contracting the virus.
All funds for the Covid- 19 have been exhausted unnecessarily on things.
The acting CEO should not be given new funds but instead, the board and the CEO should be removed and be replaced.
