Still waiting on Fode certificates

Letters

THIS is the second time I am writing this regarding our certificates.
As a former flexible open and distance education (Fode) student of Lae Community College, I have been raising concerns on issue of certificates in this paper since last year.
We are still waiting for our certificates to come from Fode head office when other Fode students around the country, including Lae Community College, have got theirs this year.
I recently visited Fode head office to enquire about my certificate and why it was held back.
What surprised me was the negative response from a staff there.
This is unacceptable, especially after I have invested my time and resources into my education to get this certificate.
Other Fode students are facing that as well.
We all sat for the same exam in 2018.
I was told to go back to Lae and check for my certificate with the centre I attended because all certificates would be sent to them.
I was further advised that if there was a delay in getting our certificate, it could be a requirement issue that I didn’t meet.
I was told by those at Lae Community College that our certificates had not arrived.
We need these certificates to apply to tertiary institutions.
It has been three years and nothing happened.
I am appealing to the Education minister, secretary , deputy principal, registrar and the principal for Fode in Port Moresby to hear me out and address this issue.
