SEVENTY-FIVE mothers from Chimbu were awarded certificates for “women in business” after a two-week intensive training at the Mingendi Pastrol Centre.

The graduation last week was a big achievement for the mums as it was first in the province and gave them ideas about how to start and improve their business management skills.

The women are likely to start in poultry, piggery or sewing as they are available in the villages.

“The skill is very important to sustain the standard of living through supporting income generating activity and the fortunate mothers must help pass the skills to other mothers in the villages,”  Chimbu women in business president Miriam Kuman said.
