Christmas fair turned into trading area

THE Edai Town Christmas was Fair transformed into a commercial area last weekend with local owners and the community, company director Kym Yong said.
The Edai Town estate boasts 160 houses and is located along the road to Papa, Lealea and Boera villages in Central.
“It provides housing schemes for local owners who seek a new home for their family. The Christmas Fair is something we are trying to do as a survey in order to place a local market in the long run for our home owners,” Yong said.
“We are planning on putting a one-stop-shop mini commercial area so people can buy their homely necessary products here.”
The Edai Town Christmas Fair was held in conjunction with Century 21 Real Estate, Bank South Pacific and other organisations.
The fair featured stalls such as arts and crafts market, kids painting, lucky draws and bouncy castle. Interested home owners visited the Christmas Fair with their children.
Port Moresby resident Roselyne Kenneth said she was happy with her decision to buy a house at Edai Town.
“I am a single mum and I wanted to do away with paying rent for accommodation. So I approached the Edai Town Development management and they helped me through every process and after two months I received the keys to my house,” Kenneth said.
“With this Christmas Fair, it helps us to do networking and meeting new people and show them where we are.
“This fair really help us market our business to the customers”
