Christmas operations to cover all districts

POLICE Christmas operations in Morobe is set to cover all eight districts with special focus on districts known to be trouble spots, Supt Alex N’Drasal said yesterday.
During a press conference, N’Drasal announced that police operations for the festive season would begin today (Dec 17) and end on Jan 3, 2020.
N’Drasal told station commanders and officers-in-charge to instil professional attitude in their stations.
He said the operation would not just be accomplished by police alone but would need cooperation of all stakeholders including government agencies, non-government organisations, business houses and the public to see a safe festive season for all.
“The targeted hotspots for this operation will be Markham, Finschhafen, Tewai-Siassi, Bulolo and Kabwum while other districts will also be in the loop of the operations,” he said. He thanked the Morobe government for funding over K200,000 for the operation.
