Church leaders must be more aware

Letters

I AM an Anglican-baptised Christian but am disappointed with the preaching of some clergy trying to be theological scientist and medical scientist during this Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
The message being preached is that God is in total control and Christians should not listen or obey man made regulations like the Covid-19 protocols.
The message is that those who are far from the Kingdom of God should worry or get frightened about the pandemic.
This is a misinterpretation and it is misleading Christians.
This is total ignorance and leading people to the gates of hell.
Clergy must be reminded that the US, Britain and Australia are developed countries, and their medical scientist know the pandemic is real.
Clergy should be more intelligent, informative and aware of what is going on around them.
There are many good Christians who are better than clergymen but have succumb to the virus.
This is an insult to them and clergy are closing the doors of the church.
The Anglican church must now take proactive measures to train clergy to be more civilised, theologically authenticate, sensitive, open minded, assertive to the changing times and be aware of mindset and the level of understanding of their congregation.
