City of violence

Lae is the most industrialised city in Papua New Guinea, yet it is not a safe place to live. Travelling from Highlands and Madang to Lae is always risky, especially at night when street vendors come out to the street to roam and make trouble. I travelled from Goroka to Lae once to visit my teacher before going to Madang. At Eriku, people came out of nowhere, entered the bus and grabbed anything they could. People like that should go to the village and do something useful.
