City touch names teams for champs

A LOCAL touch football association in Lae have named their open division men’s and women’s squad for the Team Morobe championships.
The Lae Touch Association released their list of players, who started training on Tuesday at the Eriku Niall Reserve Oval, to The National earlier this week.
The squad will take on teams from the Lae Corporate Touch Association on August 6-7 to pick Team Morobe’s touch side for the PNG Games in Kimbe later in the year. Open men’s: Sammy Yaviro, Richard Silas, Meli Pasingan (Barbarians), Neildrin Isara , Manu Awagasi, Ben Awagasi, Andrew Turlom (DA Family), Valentine Kapranis, Malle Nappa (SP), Boki Tovita, Joshua Palin (Sobras), Daniel Kapet, Henry Ndrou (Jail Birds), Michael Wambun (Prima), Narokou Noi (Pikus), Roger Solala (coach); Open Women’s: Barbara Ikuma, Martina Tawa, Jenna Joseph (Barbarians), Stanlyn Tamtu, Dora Ainui, Priscila Teta, Jenisca Uroga, Joan Yaro (Da Family), Patsy Ray (SP), Asap Ponawan (Sobras), Grace Zuma, Loise Saok (Jail Birds), Milly Rex (Pikus), Enno Koso (Pikus), Jonnie Anatemu (coach).
