Closure of services affecting people

Letters

I WAS lost for words after sick patients were sent back to government health centres.
It was not a surprise as we, the ordinary people, knew through the media on Friday about the stop work by the Church health services.
I am wondering if the minister concerned saw it.
The Catholic Church and the other Christian health clinics are providing better services to citizens where our government cannot reach out to and or cater.
Every Papua New Guineans want better services but better services are not better than better health services.
Unless a student is not ill, how can he/she bother to learn?
So as we the taxpayers of this nation.
Life is a roller coaster and without due care, how can one get on with it.
Education is so important so as health.
Every one of us become victim when our government turns a blind eye to a good cause.
Please give our church health workers what is due.
And to all our hardworking health workers in government and church agencies, we are so grateful for your endless efforts and selfless care.

  • May God bless them all.
I have seen the dedication to serve in the rural areas. Heading into gale force winds and rain in a tiny aluminium dinghy to get a patient two hours by sea to Kavieng. IN the middle of the night; with a little torch to avoid the reefs. They deserve so much better than what they are paid but now denied that little amount for nearly four months.
As The Bible says, ‘To them that hath-not, even that little which they hath-not shall be taken away from them!’
One UBS lawyers fee would help pay them
