MUNI Knights are out to continue their winning run against 2-Mile United in round two of Moresby South Rugby League A grade competition on Sunday.
Moresby South vice-chairman Bagelo Solien said Knights after a convincing 20-4 win over 6-Mile last week are looking to repeat the same dose over United, who were held to a 4-4 draw by MK West.
Koki Eels will be motivated after receiving a new set of uniforms during the week when they take on the Talai Spartans.
League chairman Brown Murema urged clubs not to field dual registered players as they would be penalised.
He said the club presidents had been advised and he was looking to them to ensure the rules were followed.
“We have identified couple of players both male and female and are cross checking now, should they be found guilty of breaching the dual registration rules both player and club will be dealt with accordingly,” Murema said.
He also urged clubs to hand in their player summaries and complete player registration forms by the end of this month following the motion passed by the Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League annual general meeting in February.
He said only registered players were eligible to play in the competition and qualify to represent Southern Blacks in the Southern Confederation trials.
