Coal energy seen as environment suicide

Letters

want to warn all Papua New Guineans, especially my tribespeople in the Gulf Province, that coal is environment suicide.
Coal does not add any value to your life. It polutes the air you breathe and you die.
Sam Basil, the Energy Minister, the PNG Environment Protection Authority officials and Mayur Resource managing director Paul Mulder should not be misleading the uninformed and uneducated masses in the Gulf Province with this unclean and unhealthy coal project, which will only cause health disaster in the province.
Why do we need coal when there is so much sunshine for solar power and clean air energy? It seems that our politicians and public servants are only
defined by the power of the carrot stick ahead of people’s health and life.

No coal, no Mayur Resources
in the Gulf province
