THE Morobe Agriculture Show (MPAS) was given a boost with a K120,000 donation from Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) yesterday.
MPAS president Mike Quinn, who received the cheque, said the show had a long history and close relationship with CCA.
“Coca-Cola has been the grand champion sponsor over the last 27 years and I’m pleased to see them still supporting the show,” he said.
“We hope for more of such support to come.
“Without sponsors like CCA, the show would not have happened.”
CCA national sponsorship and events manager Willie William said their support to the show was an opportunity to give back to the people through the show and thank its customers.
William said in sponsoring such events they were also partnering with other companies to support the communities they operated in.
“This year we will put up information booths,” he said.
“There will also be a family support arena, and merry-go-round with the display of two new products Fanta strawberry and Minute Maid refresher juice.
“There will also be fun activities at the Coke fun house.
“Our partners, Raumai 18, will be selling our wholesale products and there will also be games to win Coca-Cola merchandise.”
William said they had signed an agreement last year to continue as the grand champion sponsor for the next five years ending in 2022.
“The management and staff of Coca-Cola Amatil wish all the show committees, exhibitors, show goers and everyone a safe and fun filled show weekend,” he said.
