COCA-COLA Amatil (PNG) launched their new Bu energy drink flavour Island Punch in Lae on Monday.
The soft drink company expanded its Bu energy drink portfolio with the introduction of the new flavour which adds to the brand since its introduction into the market in 2007.
The Bu Island Punch is a blend of tropical fruit flavours with a smooth after-taste pleasing to the palate making it a lighter and more refreshing than the original Bu.
Coca-Cola national marketing and sales services manager Djamel Bencheikh said the launch would take advantage of the country’s leading brand of energy drink and provide consumers with another product within the range.
“We have embarked on an innovation journey where we have launched new products last year and this year we have come with a new extension of our number one energy drink,” he said.
“It is the fruit of months of preparation and is a product developed for Papua New Guineans.
“This product has already been tested on the market a couple of months ago and we have had very positive feedback from the customers in Lae and Port Moresby.
“We are rolling it across the country and looking forward to positive results.”
The Bu Island Punch comes in a 355ml can with a recommended retail price of K3.
