Coffee cluster groups win American cupping prizes

America company Crop to Cup Coffee Importers has declared Yonki Coffee Cluster Croup, of Eastern Highlands, winner of an independent coffee cupping competition in the United States.
Coffee samples produced by cluster groups under Apo Angra Angana Kange (AAAK) Coffee Cooperative were sent to the US.
Independent cupping was done by Crop to Cup Coffee Importers to determine the quality of the coffee the cluster groups produced.
Yonki Cluster Group, of Obura-Wonenara in Eastern Highlands, won the competition.
Kesevaka Cluster, of Henganofi, was runner-up while Kofio Cluster, of Henganofi, was third.
Director of Crop to Cup Importers Taylor Mork announced the winner at Mingaimugl village in Kerowagi, Chimbu, on Monday and presented two live pigs to the Yonki Cluster Group.
Mork said it was amazing to learn AAAK Coffee Cooperative produced top quality coffee.
He said the cupping was held in New York from coffee samples supplied by AAAK Coffee Cooperative from its coffee cluster groups.
