THE Holy Trinity Teachers College (HTTC) in Mt Hagen has sworn in 15 members of the governing council to manage and govern the affairs of the institution.
The new governing council members are Hugo Kop, who was re-appointed to serve his third term, Andrew Wan, Patrick Yawa, Hans Gima, Dr Michael Mel, Nokks Kiap, Daniel Beli, Daniel Kereke, Basil Murain and Ulia Mogia.
Five other board members were not present during the ceremony last week due to personal commitments.
Mt Hagen District Court Magistrate Betty Jacobs, while participating in the commission of oath, commended the new board members for their appointment to oversee good governance of the college.
Magistrate Betty said the college would train teachers and teachers were the backbone of the nation’s development.
“We will continue to make sure that good governance is in place so that we see a good progress for this college,” Kop said.
“This is one of the pioneer teachers’ colleges in the country and our aim and target is to see progress and good governance.”
