New normal
No one really cares these days if a group of men walk into a bank wearing masks. Everyone is required to. It is the new normal.
Fast time
Sending money overseas to family normally takes around three days for colleague. Since the State of Emergency began, it takes only one day. He cannot figure out what happened. But he is not complaining.
New normal
Students are back in class. So are the civil servants. The curfew has been lifted. Is the Government lifting restrictions too soon? Perhaps our leaders have some information they are not telling us.
We care
Facebook has come up with a new emoji called We Care “so you can show extra support while many of us are apart”.
Saving up
One thing the Covid-19 pandemic has taught us is to save for a rainy day. Put the extra money aside each fortnight. It may not be much but at least you have a few bucks to put aside you can fall back on.
Loan sharks
The loan sharks are feeling the pinch too and seem to have disappeared. Many of their clients are now out of work.
Granny advice
Grandparent love their bubu so much they would do almost anything for them. One priceless thing is their advice. It may sometimes go like this: “Bubu you must listen. Don’t be like your parents.”
Mothers’ Day
What is a mother? She is a mother, housekeeper, cook, teacher, nurse, coach, taxi driver, story teller, planner, organizer, decorator, best friend, multi-tasking queen. In short, a wonder woman. Give her something special.
Food for thought
Lessons learnt from Covid-19: Life is short, Jobs are temporary, Health is Wealth, Always save money, We need God to survive.
