The elastic attached to the medical facemask came off when colleague tried to put it on when entering the company premises. The security guards at the gate quickly helped. They fixed it with a cigarette lighter in seconds, applying heat and pressure at both ends. It worked.

City buses
Overcrowding in buses in Port Moresby continue unabated, with the usually culprits hanging at the doorway as the driver speeds down the road, changing lanes as he pleases to the detriment of other road users. Traffic police do not care it seems.
