Census info
The 2024 National Census is less than 100 days away. One would think that there would be a countdown going on or something. There isn’t even a billboard in the capital city on census information. Maybe the authorities are leaving it again to the last minute, right?
Absent leaders
Some people in rural areas barely see their leaders for years. But when the General Election approaches, they are suddenly bombarded with gifts and promises of a better future. Such a shame that ballot boxes reach some of these remote areas but medical supplies never do.
Outdated reminder
Some of us keep on receiving reminders on Facebook of someone’s birthday, even though he or she had passed away years ago.
In name only
Christianity in Australia, according to the last census, was shockingly reduced by one million people, though still the most popular religion at 43.9 per cent. PNG has been declared a Christian nation, but from what we witness every day, some are Christians-In-Name-Only – CINA, pronounced SINNER.
Point scoring
Take a deep breath and stop hyperventilating over small matters for political point-scoring. Rather, address major issues affecting the national economy and the people’s welfare and lives.
Food for thought
The monarch butterfly will not fly when it rains because the raindrops will damage its wings. It will rest and wait it out. It’s called self-preservation. It is okay to rest during the storms in your lives. Take all the time you need. You will fly again after the storm passes.
