Commander Nebanat commends combined security operation

NEW Ireland police commander Chief Insp Felix Nebanat has commended the Mobile Squad 18 for completing the “Pire mission” before the deadline.
He said the team comprised of experienced personnel from the special services division (SSD) who were part of the General Election 2022 joint security ops high speed combined with Papua New Guinea Defence Force and the Mobile Island Group from Tomaringa, East New Britain.
“These boys came in as part of our final phase ‘post-election’ upon my request,” he said
“It was great working with them.”
Nebanat also acknowledged divisional commander ACP Perou N’dranou, Director SSD, Group Commander Island Mobile Group and the squad commander MS 18 for allowing the security personnel to conduct their operations in New Ireland.
“I am grateful for the election planning team from our headquarters for allowing the extension to hire vehicles to cater for the period of an additional two weeks while the team were still in the province,” he said.
Nebanat also acknowledged his local police personnel during the election operations and their assistance in dealing with a number of incidences that had transpired during and after the election.
In addition, he acknowledged business houses, stakeholders and the community for their support during those events.
“This goes to show that you have trust and confidence in the police and are willing to work together with us,” he said.
Nebanat urged the community to work together and rebuild the ideal New Ireland going into the future.
