Commission needs political support

Letters

SINCE the Integrity of Political Parties and Candidates Commission is doing all it can to spearhead and promote this initiative of significance, political will is highly sought at this time to have it bear fruit.
Without political will, I for one do not see it will achieve its goals.
We’ve got a highly educated and technically qualified team headed by Dr Alphonse Gelu who are doing a good job by mobilising the scarce resources they have to get things done, but since there is not enough support from our political hierarchy, they are not delivering this good initiative on time.
Can the responsible minister bring this up to cabinet to consider it to be of significance so that funding and political support could be acquired to enable the commission to deliver on the outcome it has been longing for?
This is something for the voting population to be acquainted with basic but significant information prior to polling.
