What’s going on with South Wosera LLG?

Letters

I WOULD like to raise my concern on behalf of the people of South Wosera local level government (LLG) in Wosera-Gawi, East Sepik.
Just right after the declaration of the 28 LLG ward members and the subsequent election of the president, the LLG office has not been operating for almost two years now.
The president and the LLG manager have gone into hiding and are residing in Wewak.
The other LLG officers are doing nothing and receiving full salaries every fortnight.
The ward members and the people of South Wosera LLG need to know why the LLG is not delivering basic service to the people.
I don’t know if there are LLG services from the district services improvement programme funds being disbursed to the LLG operating account from the Government, the East Sepik government and funds from other donor agencies.
The LLG manager’s house is currently occupied by a locally-owned road construction company official.
The rent for the LLG manager’s house is being paid by the company.
How much is the rent?
Who is the rent paid to?
The LLG’s premises has been occupied by the construction company.
It is used as a company yard to keep machineries and stockpile of gravel.
The people of South Wosera LLG are facing difficulties in accessing basic services during official hours because the company guards are currently manning the LLG office gate under strict control.
I am now requesting the relevant government authorities to address our concern and improve service delivery in our communities.
