THE Independent Consumer and Competition Commission (ICCC) says commuters must provide information so that it can deal with PMV operators for overcharging.
Commissioner and chief executive officer Paulus Ain told The National that the commission was aware of some operators still charging fares above the normal approved fares nationwide.
“The ICCC is requesting complainants to come forward and report their complaints properly so we can assist them” he said.
Ain said this after a male student attending a technical institution in Port Moresby raised concerns of paying more to commute between different suburbs in the city.
Sebastian Wosem from East Sepik said living away from home and family was challenging enough for a day student like him.
