Committee commended

I THANK the Public Accounts Committee for exposing high level corruption involving senior Health Department officials who receive bribes in order to recommend contracts to logistic companies and other pharmaceutical companies.
This is just the tip of the iceberg and just shows that the department is riddled with corrupt officials.
Officials implicated should be investigated by the Police Fraud Squad and terminated from holding public offices because of official corruption and breaching the Public Finance Management Act.
To restore the integrity and image of the Health Department, the prime minister through the new health minister should remove all the current senior executive management team including the secretary to restore public confidence and trust.
