Common sense should prevail

IT is common sense that the Joint Security Task Force worked hard during the Apec and should get paid their allowances in a timely manner.
How can you expect one to work for over a month without getting paid any allowances?
Given, this Apec event has been in months and months of planning and preparations, one would think that with this long planning and reparation you would expect the allowances to hit the officer accounts soon as Apec ends.
I think this is poor administration and management on all those involved in handling these payments.
There’s no excuses for late payments for allowances.
One would know very well by now all the process involved in such big payments and so planning and administering these payments should be at the start of Apec planning.
As stated in The National on Wednesday, this is not the time for BSP Banks to ask for the list of Joint Security Task Forces account details. Those account details should have been submitted at the start of Apec. This simple administration and management unavoidable issue has caused a lot of grievances for officers and destruction of Parliament properties.
