Shameless compromise

Letters

THIS wide, barefaced double standard must stop before the crack grows wider and swallow this diverse beautiful nation.
Politicians should not be making decisions that undermine the rule of law.
We have one law.
Minister for Police in his responsible capacity shamelessly compromise with the police assault on the heart of our Constitution.
University students protesting peacefully exercising their constitutional rights on freedom of expression for the benefit of the public and not for personal benefit like the security forces, were shot dead openly.
The security forces and police minister cannot hide behind a political smokescreen.
The security personnel are entitled to their duty allowances and the government of the day should not fail to pay them.
The rouge security personnel must also be punished by the law of this nation for their blatant attack on the House of the people.
Leaders must safeguard the Constitution, ensure the rule of law that unites the diversity of this nation and should never set wrong precedence.
Stop the crack from getting wider.
