Community build bridge

Letters

A COMMUNITY initiative to put a footbridge across the Paiya River in the Bukapena area of Mul sub-district, Western Highlands is keeping the constituents busy during the Covid-19 lockdown period.
This footbridge is built from logs taken from the nearby forest.
It solves a biggest problem faced by the community especially during rainy seasons.
People usually walk from the main road to the government station.
Students attending Bukapena Primary School and the public will no longer worry about the flooding river.
Councillor Steven Jack and community leaders worked hard to ensure the footbridge was built.
