Companies get behind Kokopo Muruks

The Kokopo Muruks have secured a sponsorship package from three sister firms — Lae Biscuit Company, Coastal Shipping and Prima Small Goods.
The three-time champions in the East New Britain Rugby Football League were lucky to secure the three-year sponsorship which was subject for review after 2020.
Lae Biscuit Company provided a set of uniforms and K10,000, while Prima Small Goods and Coastal Shipping gave K10,000 each.
Fabian Chow presented the uniforms and a cheque for K10,000 to club officials and players on Wednesday.
He urged the players to commit themselves to training and playing well.
Chow said playing fair with a high level of discipline on and off the field would make the team successful.
Ian Chow said he was happy to be part of a successful club like the Muruks, who have a colourful history dating back to 1979.
Muruks president Stephen Liu commended the firms for investing in the club, especially when the country was facing tough economic times.
