Company backs tourney

GOODMAN Fielder has donated one tonne of Skel Rice and 50 bags of 10kg Flame Flour towards the 36 New Ireland rugby union teams who will converge in Kavieng to compete in the Sept 16-18 Douglas Guise Cup sevens tournament.
Skel Rice brand manager Nancy Inai, said: “An emphasis is placed on encouraging healthy living and an active lifestyle in communities.
“In addition, sport contributes to the positive development of individuals and the community at large.
“It also keeps our youths occupied and focused, as such we are pleased to provide support through this donation.
“Congratulations to the tournament committee and we look forward to matches of great sportsmanship.’’
The inaugural event will be held in honour of Papua New Guinea Pukpuks legend, the late Douglas Guise.
