Company reaches out to Motu-Koita netball comp under initiative

LAE Biscuit Company on Monday presented 100 boxes of Toti Biscuit and Snax Noodles to the Moresby South Motu-Koita netball competition as part of its community sports initiatives.
Company Southern sales manager Joe Kele said it was an important partnership with netball despite the challenges presented in today’s economic climate due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
“We all understand by now that the economic climate we have in the country amid the pandemic,” he said.
“This includes businesses downsizing operations, prices of goods and services going up which affect families, especially those at the grassroots level.
“But despite all those challenges, we’ve decided to continue giving in kind, whether it be through a church partnership, government institutions or sports.
“Netball is an important sport that greatly involves our women and girls who are the backbone of the country.”
Meanwhile, competition director Asi Mou outlined the importance of supporting all Motu-Koitabu women, including netballers.
“The support will go a long way in assisting our technical team, officials, netballers and all women,” she said.
“We’re grateful to Lae Biscuit Company for the support.
“It shows the confidence the company has in our competition for Motu-Koitabu women.”
