Constitutional and Law Reform Commission inducts two new commissioners

THE swearing in of two new commissioners for the Constitutional and Law Reform Commission (CLRC) will help in the amendments, reviews and reforms of the country’s laws, says its chairman.
Chairman Kevin Isifu said this during the induction of North Bougainville MP William Nakin and Dr Dora Kuir-ayius, an academic from the University of PNG. Isifu, who is Wewak MP, said CLRC was excited and looking forward to benefit from the commissioners’ leadership, guidance, vast experience and expertise when the commission deliberated and anticipated law reform and reviewed agenda of national importance.
He said as a first-time parliamentarian, Nakin’s appointment would complete a bi-partisan political and parliamentary representation on the commission board so that reform matters could be debated.
