Construction underway

CONSTRUCTION of a holding cell, public toilet and car park for the Imbonggu District Court House in Southern Highlands is underway as recommended by a technical team from the Justice and Attorney-General Department, Warepena Construction project manager Morris Mini said.
“We will also be making some changes in the courthouse as recommended by Deputy Chief Justice Ambeng Kandakasi during his visit on Monday,” he added.
He said he would be briefed by the Imbonggu district development authority (DDA) of the recommended changes as he was not present during Justice Kandakasi’s short circuit visit.
Mini said construction work on the remodelling of the rundown council chamber to the courthouse begun in 2018 and the DDA funded about K800,000.
