Cop shops in Boroko and Koki useless

Letters, Normal

IT seems that policemen tasked to carry out their duties at certain cop shops around Port Moresby are not doing their jobs.
I refer to the Boroko bus stop cop shop and the other in Koki.
It is common to see petty crimes being committed openly but the officers at both places are doing nothing to prevent them from happening or catch the criminals.
Sometimes I ask myself what is the purpose of these cop shops?
Where are the officers?
These criminals will increase come payday.
It makes my blood boil every time I see these criminals at work and the people are unable to help because they are unarmed.
Can the NCD metropolitan commander Chief Supt Fred Yakasa do something?
His presence at these places means a lot to many young women waiting to catch a bus home.
I hope he and his officers will make their presence felt.
The ball is in your court.
