Cops in the headlines

Letters

What can we say about the Papua New Guinea Royal Constabulary (RPNGC) now that it has made the headlines in our daily newspaper (The National, Aug 22) with five reported cases of undisciplined behaviour.
Page four reads, “K30,000 theft puts cops on trial”. Page 9 reads, “Police 10 face attempted murder charge”. Page 11 reads, “Court finds police officer guilty of dangerous driving”, “Officers face criminal charges” and “Policeman in K54,000 case”.
The medals list is growing every year but yours RPNGC will be for malpractice.
