Councillors on payroll

Deputy Prime Minister and Inter-government Relations Minister Sir Leo Dion says all councillors in the country are now on payroll.
He said that the councillors, who provided their bank accounts, had received over K4,000 since 2014.
“Those who did not get their pay are the ones who did not provide their bank details,” Sir Leo said.
“I’m also asking all governors to do their jobs by providing details so their councillors can get paid.”
Sir Leo said there were supposed to be 6,182 councillors and more than 300 LLG presidents on payroll.
