SEVEN married couples renewed their vows at the Taraka United Church in Lae last Saturday.
Among them were Emmanuel and Egai Penias from East New Britain, who also signed a marriage certificate to legally recognise their customary marriage.
The couple have been married since 1992.
After five children and seven grandchildren, they decided to confirm their marriage before God in church to fulfil their Christian faith.
The ceremony was witnessed by Reverend James Karava, church members, family and friends.
Emmanuel described himself and his wife as being old physically but young at heart and spirit.
Egai said they wanted to exchange their vows before God to make their union holy.
The couple exchanged Bibles and rings to make their matrimonial union holy and blessed by God.
