A 60-YEAR-OLD man charged with cyber harassment over a land issue appeared in the Waigani Committal Court before Magistrate Seth Tanei yesterday but his case was adjourned until Nov 12.
John Endemonga Kua, of Kerowagi in Chimbu, was charged with defamatory publication.
It was alleged that on Aug 12, at around 4.43am, Kua posted defamatory information about Lands secretary Benjamin Samson.
Samson believed the post was to do with the Kone Tigers Rugby Football League Club land at Waigani in the National Capital District.
According to police, the registration of the transfer of ownership of the football club land to Bandon Ltd was done in 2008.
The transfer was done by former registrar of titles, the late Raga Kavana.
Police indicated that Samson was not involved in the registration of the transfer of the property but he did transfer the registration from Bandon Ltd in 2013 after ministerial approval was obtained. Police stated that Kua had no standing or authority to represent the football club in any shape, form or manner determined by the Chief Justice of PNG Sir Gibbs Salika on Feb 20, 2014, in Criminal Court proceedings No. CR 788 of 2009.
His bail was converted to a court bail with conditions.
