Crime in town getting worse

Letters

DO you know how often crimes happen in Kimbe?
Sometimes, crimes happen twice a week and at other times, they happen three times a day.
I am sick and tired of people continuously fighting.
People are fighting unnecessarily over small things as if they’re fighting over a blanket.
When I go to school, I hear friends speak about the crimes they witnessed or heard about.
My family and I don’t feel safe living in Kimbe because of the high crime rate.
Fighting is continuing, but the police are doing nothing about it.
Innocent people get stabbed, shot, badly injured and some even get killed.
A member of my family recently witnessed a fight at the market.
People were screaming at each other as wild dogs.
Sometimes, fights erupt from minor problems.
You’ll be surprised how an argument over a small thing can turn into a big fight.
Crime occurs in residential areas and workplaces.
It happens everywhere.
You could be at the market, shop, house, office, street or just walking around and something bad might happen to you or in front of you.
I think the police officers need to pull up their socks so these unnecessary fights can stop.
This town has already turned into a crime zone and the criminals are already influencing the little children to be engaged in petty crimes.
We have to do something about this before it is too late.
