Crusade sees 11 inmates surrender lives to God

ELEVEN prisoners at the Bomana Prison gave their lives to the Lord during the prison’s Easter crusade at the maximum prison camp.
The crusade, led by Life in the Spirit Ministries, began last Friday and ended on Sunday.
Life in the Spirit Ministries prison pastors Sedrick Piiwahi and Paul Kawi shared with the prisoners.
Piiwahi said: “God said the word and everything came to existence.
“But in Genesis, it tells us that God said: Let us make man in our own image. Which means, God, the Son and the Holy Spirit agreed to make man in their own image.
“So he came down and created the body out of dust and blew life into man.
“But when man disobeyed God by eating the fruit in the Garden of Eden, it welcomed Satan.”
Kawi told the prisoners how they could remove devil and sins from their lives. He said the devil was referred to as lapun man (old man) because it existed long before man was created.
“Your being in prison is not because your body did something wrong,” Kawi said.
“It’s because of the lapun man in you.
“He is the driver that is driving your body to do wrong things and if you’re not careful, it will kill you.
“Because John 10:10 says the thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy.
“Devil is a thief if you allow him to live in you, he will kill your spirit, steal your soul and your body will be on the line to being destroyed.”
Eleven prisoners surrendered their lives to the Lord saying that they had enough of sin and wanted to remove the devil from their lives.
