Dabaris focus on improving game

CENTRAL Dabaris coach Gairo Pepena says his side are focusing on their own game and what they need to control instead of worrying about the other team in tomorrow’s Digicel Cup round 3 fixture at the Oil Search National Football Stadium.
The other side are ladder-leaders Lae Tigers.
The Dabaris and Tigers are yet to record losses this season.
The Central government sponsored side will welcome back captain and former SP Hunter Adam Korave who served a one-match ban last round for dissent to referee Manau Kema in the season opener against the Gulf Isou a fortnight ago.
Another former Hunter and former Rabaul Guria Muka Peter Kulu will make his club debut joining Korave in the front row.
“We have a lot of respect for the Tigers and no doubt they are the benchmark team in the Digicel Cup competition,” Pepena said.
“But for us, we are more concerned about our own game instead of worrying about the opposition.
“It doesn’t matter what team we play against.
“Our theme for this season is to focus on our own performance week in week out let the results speak for itself.
“We had a good win against Goroka Lahanis last week and that was on the back of a very good defensive effort.
“Even in round one game against Isou, we were very poor with our handling errors but our defence really stood up and we settled for a draw (8-8).”
