NASFUND Contributors Savings and Loans Society (NCSL) members can now enjoy a 10 per cent discount that is applicable on domestic cargo following a joint agreement signed between the society and Air Niugini recently.
NCSL acting chief executive officer William Koregai, in announcing the discounted facility with Air Niugini Cargo, said the partnership would help members save money when sending cargo on domestic flights. “NCSL’s value back loyalty programme has over 100 service providers and we are pleased to acknowledge that Air Niugini cargo has been a valued service provider,” he said.
“The discount applies instantly upon payments when a member presents their NCSL membership identification card at Air Niugini Cargo.”
NCSL said, in a statement, that members could enjoy this discount by applying for a loan against their savings to pay for sending their cargo with Air Niugini.
It said that NCSL’s approval process is automated for loans under 1:1 and 1:2 as well as disbursement of the loan within 24 hours.
“We encourage our members to utilise e-services during this festive period.”
It added that members who did not have a membership ID could contact them to arrange for a membership card that cost K10.
Air Niugini chief executive officer Bruce Alabaster said the rebated rates applied to cargo for personal use, on all of Air Niugini’s domestic destinations from Port Moresby and would be trial for 30 days before effecting this product rebate to both inbound and outbound Port Moresby flights.
“NCSL members have the chance to receive benefits since Dec 23, in time for the peak Christmas period, thereby, helping those families sending goods to and from families throughout the country,” he said.
Customer and pricing manager Stephanie Bawo-Akia said: “Most NCSL members are from the private and informal sector who have contributed a lot to the development of this country and Air Niugini sees this as an opportunity to help these members.”
