Declare PNG a Christian country

Letters

I AM not happy with the statement by the Catholic bishops concerning the consultation on constitutionally making Papua New Guinea a Christian country.
Our country was developed through the hard work and loss of life by early Christian missionaries and not by Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists or any other religion
The statement by the Catholic bishops is a slap in the face of the families of the early missionaries who worked hard and lost their lives to bring the Gospel to this land. If we do not, constitutionally, make PNG a Christian country now, no one will do it later because by then, other religions will increase and there will be religious wars and we will be responsible for it.
We should protect Christianity now. Ideologies such as political correctness and human rights are being used by the devil to deceive the church of God in these last days.
We must be careful not to fall into this trap.
I am sure the majority of the Catholic Christians in PNG feel the same.
I call on the Catholic bishops to rescind their statement for the God of Israel is the God of the Catholics and is the God of Papua New Guinea and, therefore, we must officially declare that.

Pure Catholic,
