Defence Force seeks God’s guidance, protection

THIS year will not be easy because of resource constraints, PNG Defence Force soldiers have been told.
Yet through God’s wisdom, priorities can be achieved, they were told during a church service yesterday in Port Moresby.
PNG Defence Force commander Major General Gilbert Toropo urged hundreds of them to dedicate themselves and the force to God.
Toropo said before work started, everything would be “committed to the Lord for his guidance and protection.”
“I want to see teamwork and team-effort in our own respective responsibilities this year,” he said.
Christian Apostolic Church Pastor Superintendent Mattew Tapus told the troops to fight like good soldiers for the wellbeing of others.
“Respect each other and let your servant see you as their hero, take pride of what you do,” he said.
