Delay action

IT is believed that more than 40 per cent of teachers who have been displaced in the 2020 teaching appointment will be put off payroll when the Government actions the resumption of duty summary sheet (RODSS) for the 2020 academic year.
It will not only hit the teachers hard during such time when Covid-19 is posing serious health risks but also cause disadvantages to their existing loan repayments to financial institutions.
It is very sad to see the manner in which the committed officers who were on full-time positions being removed and their positions given to others.
Concerns have been raised regarding the issue with the provincial education appointing authorities.
We kindly urge relevant authorities to find the technical errors involved in the appointment process and resolve them immediately.
We urge the Education Department to delay actioning the RODSS during this Covid-19 crises and to maintain the previous pay plan until appropriate time.
