Depleted Rebels face Mermaids in 2nd round of city netball

THE Port Moresby Netball Association premier division heads into its round two tomorrow with CPL Rebels taking Snax Mermaids in the main fixture at the Rita Flynn Indoor Complex.
Mermaids are favoured against a rebuilding Rebels.
Rebels head coach Oti Sarufa said: “We lost several of our key players and recruit new ones and also promote few from the Under-21,” Sarufa said.
She said several key seniors in the club had joined new club Mystics but Rebels would still continue to be competitive. “We know Mermaids have more experienced players than us but we’ll take it one quarter at a time,” she said.
“In the mid court, we also have to get our basics right to set the attack.”
Mermaids coach Richandah Kassman has sharp shooters Rayleen Andrew and Jephert Tulapi and will aim to get out to a good lead early.
