HELPING the Government in achieving its project of connecting PNG by road will require people who are discipline, says Works first assistant secretary Bernard Kull.
Kull told 11 heavy equipment fitters who completed their apprenticeship training in Lae on Friday that the department needed well-disciplined people to help it develop the country.
Connecting PNG by road was something the Government was trying to achieve and the Works Department was trying to connect Central, Gulf, Morobe and Sepik with Indonesia within five years.
“This Government has big plans to connect the country and the challenge is on us,” Kull said.
“We will support the Government to achieve the aim of connecting Port Moresby to Lae, Wewak, and Vanimo and to the border with Indonesia.
“All these plans cannot be achieved without well-trained and well-disciplined Papua New Guineans.”
