Dept sets date for tertiary selections

National

THE Department of High Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) has set Dec 21 to start selections for tertiary institutions next year.
According to DHERST, the National Online Application System (NOAS) grace period is Dec 14-17 and the launch and announcement of selections for tertiary studies will be on Dec 21.
DHERST, in a statement, reminded students to access their NOAS accounts during the grace period.
“This is a crucial period where you will start making your choices based on your final grade 12 results, so make sure to access your account during the mentioned dates.
“If you see red highlight indicated in any of your five choices under ‘My choices’, this means that your final result has not met the minimum programme requirement set by the institution.
“Therefore, you must change the red highlighted choice to a different programme that is available in your programme list,” the statement said.
“NOAS does not display final grades and Grade Point Averages (GPAs).
“If you wish to view your final results during the grace period, visit MSD’s https://www.mypngexamresults.com.
