KUNDIAWA-Gembogl MP William Onglo says his administration is focusing on developing human resources through education and agriculture to ensure the people are economically independent.
Onglo said he had already invested K1 million with the Fresh Produce Development Agency (FPDA) to manage agricultural activities in the district.
Onglo said almost K1 million was spent annually on school fee subsidies for tertiary students and expected to see the turnover in a good number of educated professionals in the next 10 years.
He said investments in developing human resources through school fees and learning facilities was crucial.
He presented K100,000 to Andy Siure Primary School during its opening last Tuesday.
Onglo commended school patron Andy Siure and his wife Josephine for leading the Moguma community through private-public partnership as the way forward in education.
“I am investing in education and agriculture because my electorate is not suited to any bigger economic activities as in other districts in country,” he said.
He urged the Moguma people to return home and work their land in fresh produce production for food security.
