Digicel is operating as a monopoly in PNG

DIGICEL is operating in the country as a monopoly telecommunication company even though b-Mobile is on the market.

Can the responsible government agencies do something so that Digicel can reduce its high rates that are ripping off the grassroots?

When you compare the call rates charged by Digicel to its customers, they  are nowhere near to other countries’ call rates.

Although the operational costs are high, Digicel should come up with affordable rates so that anyone  buying  a  K3 or K5 flex cards or more will be satisfied with the time spent talking.

The so-called daily or nightly call promotions that Digicel is providing are  bullying tactics to rip off the people.

To b-Mobile, you have been sleeping over the years.

Digicel is capitalising on your poor performance.

So  strategise your management and put up towers in the rural areas.

I believe if b-Mobile is able to connect all the rural areas throughout the country like Digicel, then there will be enough competition in the market that will create avenues for affordable call rates from these companies.
