Digicel launches new promo

 DIGICEL PNG on Monday launched its “free after 2” promotion that offers subscribers 18 extra call time minutes for the price of one Digicel-to-Digicel call and also the 18 free SMS for the price of two text messages.

This promotion has gained popularity among subscribers nationwide that the company has extended it for an indefinite period.

To avail of the free talk time, customers simply make a call to any Digicel local number between 8am and 8pm on weekdays and once they have spoken for two minutes the next 18 minutes of that call will be absolutely free.  

Standard Digicel prepaid peak rates calls are billed at 99t for the first minute with any additional minutes billed at 11t.  

For the duration of the promotion, customers will pay 99t for the first minute, 11t  for the second minute and get the next 18 minutes free.

After the free 18 minutes the billing cycle starts again.

Digicel PNG chief executive officer John Mangos said: “We are proud to start the New Year by extending our very popular ‘free after 2’ promotion and to continue to offer the best value in PNG. 

“It is a way of saying ‘thank you’ to all our valued customers for being part of Digicel’s ‘bigger and better mobile network’.” 

The promotion is not applicable on weekends and only applies to prepaid and closed user group (CUG) prepaid subscribers.
